Why choose Whitehouse Flexible Tubing for your Metal Hose / Pipe?
We specialise in Metal Hose and Pipe called Griplock. This is made by winding profiled steel strip into a fully interlocked section. This highly flexible hose is extremely versatile with great tensile strength and a high resistance to crushing. Griplock also provides great abrasion resistance and anti-corrosive properties in Stainless Steel.

More information
Pressure Rating:
Although Griplock is not a pressure rated hose, it can generally be expected to withstand pressures of up to 1 BAR (100 kpa) where the discharge from the hose is open ended.
Special Features:
A ‘floppy’ Griplock is available in the smaller diameters (up to 76mm I/D) which is ideal for cable protection.
The ‘stiff’ version of our Griplock is constructed with a tighter section which improves the air tightness of the hose and gives it ‘stayput’ characteristics.
Heavy Duty:
Heavy duty Griplock is made from a thicker strip for heavy duty applications and environments. Available in material from 0.3 / 0.8mm thick.
Conical Griplock:
We can manufacture our Griplock in a conical / tapered shape with a different I/D on either end. This can help reduce costs of expensive fittings and adaptors. Increasingly popular for all sorts of technical applications.
