Construction

Copper Packed Interlock is made from a single metal strip that is wrapped round a mandrel with a fully interlocked section with a copper wire packing. This type of construction provides:

Primary Applications

Copper Packed Interlock is a stiffer tube due to the packing which offers higher ‘gas tightness’ making this metal hose type suitable for exhaust and other applications where gas tightness or a stiff stayput type hose is required:

DUCTING & EXTRACTION / EXHAUSTS / MATERIAL HANDLING / PROTECTIVE CASINGS etc.

Construction

Stainless steel interlock is made from austenitic steel type 304 S16 to BSS.1449 (stainless steel type 316 can be used on request). Manufactured by winding profiled metal strip into a tube, the edges being completely interfolded. The section has a copper wire packing, although cotton or rubber can be used on request.

Applications

Interlock tubing is ideal for absorbing vibration, thermal expansion and noise attenuation on exhausts. It is also commonly used for conveying dry bulk goods, grain, dry powders and granular products of all sorts.
