Stainless Steel Copper Packed Interlock is manufactured from austenitic stainless steel Type 304 S16 to BSS.1449. Stainless steel Type 316 can also be supplied on request.
The tubing is manufactured by winding profiled metal strip into a tube, with the edges completely interfolded to create the interlocked construction.
The section is supplied with copper wire packing as standard. Cotton or rubber packing can also be used on request.
This construction provides a flexible metal tube with high crush resistance and great mechanical strength, while the packing creates a stiffer tube with increased gas tightness.
